Disney Vacation Club - Look Like a Disney Princess at Prom
And prom is a great opportunity to live out these fantasies; these are the types of images we conjure in our minds when we picture ourselves at a grand event. And Cinderella opts for a floor length silvery blue dress for the Royal ball, belle has her famous golden yellow frock when dancing with the Beast in Beauty and the Beast. We've all seen those amazing films and Disney ornaments of the Disney princesses in their gorgeous gowns.
Read on to find out how to get the right look for your special prom date. You may need to find a couple of talented friends who can work wonders with makeup and hair, if you are doing it on the cheap, although! How much you spend is up to you; you can achieve the Disney princess look with a range of budgets.
The hair
You are sure to look super gorgeous, whether you opt for a "Jasmine" look - with full bodied hair put into a loose ponytail with a decorative headpiece - or a "Cinderella" style with your hair elegantly gathered into a bun. This means a good conditioner is needed in order to keep it frizz-free. Your hair style is up to you but it is best to keep it sleek and silky, starting from the top.
The make-up
But don't go overboard, and skin highlighters are key products, blusher, face powder! Delicate looking skin with natural looking rosy cheeks and complexion; therefore the look to copy for your makeup is a combination of peach and roses. We don't exactly have this privilege, as we are humans in the flesh. As they do not appear to have any flaws, the Disney princesses are lucky in the fact that they are animated.
The dress
You might be able to rope in a friend or family member to make some alterations so it looks as though it was made only for you. Visit your local shops and charity shops to see if you can find something that closely resembles it, if you can't afford to have someone make you a reproduction gown. Or Sleeping Beauty are good targets to go for, belle, the dresses of Cinderella. It isn't exactly "prom-tastic", while Snow White has a pretty dress. The dress, now we reach the main event.
All the rest
And one that is sure to make you the belle of the ball, mixing silver and white with your dress is a timeless combination. Try to stay away from pink makeup and accessories as it can look a bit too much, if you go for a pink gown. The easiest way to do this is with classic silver jewellery and shimmery shoes. You can put some thought into how you are going to coordinate it all together, and dress, makeup, once you've sorted out your hair.
